1. Scope

Snack is operated by Yaowu (Shenzhen) Technology Co., Ltd. ("Yaowu", "we", "us", or "our").

This Privacy Policy explains how Snack handles personal data when you use Snack web applications, hosted workspaces, integrations, and the Snack Browser Chrome extension made available through snack.mechlabs.cn or other authorized Snack environments.

This page is intended to cover both the Snack product experience and the browser-assisted features used to connect a signed-in user’s Chrome browser to Snack workflows.

2. Information We Collect

  • Account and workspace information, such as name, phone number, email address, organization, role, and other profile or onboarding details you or your organization provide.
  • User content, such as prompts, chat messages, uploaded files, knowledge base materials, task configurations, generated outputs, feedback, and workflow history.
  • Browser-assisted workflow data, such as the current page URL and title, visible page text, HTML, links, selected tab metadata, and files downloaded from user-selected pages when the Snack Browser extension is used.
  • Technical, security, and diagnostic data, such as IP address, browser and device details, timestamps, session and authentication data, error logs, and service telemetry.
  • Integration data from third-party platforms that you or your organization choose to connect to Snack, including advertising, content, analytics, or other business systems.

3. How We Use Information

  • To provide, operate, secure, and maintain Snack and its browser-assisted workflow features.
  • To authenticate users, manage workspaces, and keep sessions, tasks, and knowledge assets available across devices and visits.
  • To execute workflows requested by users, including analyzing current pages, extracting information from user-selected websites, and processing files that users choose to bring into Snack.
  • To improve performance, reliability, product quality, safety monitoring, abuse prevention, and customer support.
  • To comply with legal obligations, enforce terms, investigate misuse, and protect users, organizations, Snack, and third parties.

4. How Snack Browser Works

Snack Browser is a Chrome extension that connects a signed-in user’s browser to Snack so the user can run browser-assisted analysis and workflow steps from Snack.

When a user initiates a supported workflow, the extension may access the website the user has chosen to analyze or interact with. Depending on the workflow, this may include reading the current page, extracting visible content or links, downloading a file from the current page, or completing browser-side workflow steps needed to fulfill the user’s request.

The extension stores limited local state, such as connection status or endpoint information, using Chrome storage so it can reconnect reliably. All executable extension code is packaged with the extension itself; the extension does not download and execute remote JavaScript or WebAssembly as extension code.

5. Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell personal data. We do not use personal data for advertising unrelated to providing and improving Snack.

  • With service providers and infrastructure partners that help us deliver hosting, storage, authentication, security, monitoring, AI/model capabilities, and customer support.
  • With your organization, workspace administrators, and other authorized workspace users, where needed to provide a shared Snack environment.
  • With third-party services and platforms that you or your organization explicitly authorize Snack to connect to.
  • With regulators, law enforcement, courts, or other parties when we believe disclosure is necessary to comply with law, protect rights, investigate fraud, or address security incidents.
  • In connection with a merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization, or transfer of business assets, subject to applicable confidentiality and legal safeguards.

6. Retention

We retain information for as long as necessary to provide Snack, support ongoing workspaces and workflows, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.

Retention periods may vary depending on the type of data, the configuration chosen by your organization, backup and recovery requirements, and applicable law. Browser extension data stored locally remains on the user’s device until it is cleared, overwritten, or the extension is removed.

7. Security

We use administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect personal data against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. These measures may include access controls, encryption in transit, logging, authentication controls, and environment-level safeguards.

No internet-based service is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security in all circumstances.

8. Organization-Managed Use

If you use Snack through an employer, client, or other organization, that organization may control workspace configuration, connected integrations, retention settings, and access to workspace content. In those cases, your organization may act as the primary decision-maker for certain data handling activities within the workspace.

9. Your Choices and Rights

  • You may update certain profile and workspace information through Snack features made available to you.
  • You may disconnect authorized integrations, uninstall the Snack Browser extension, revoke browser site access, or clear local browser storage at any time.
  • Where applicable, you may request access, correction, deletion, or other rights under local law, subject to product functionality, contractual obligations, and legal requirements.
  • If your Snack access is managed by an organization, we may direct your request to the relevant workspace administrator where appropriate.

10. Children

Snack is designed for business and professional use and is not intended for children. We do not knowingly design the service for or intentionally collect personal data from children in violation of applicable law.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect product, legal, operational, or security changes. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date on this page. Material changes may also be communicated through Snack or other appropriate channels.
